41 trains from North-West cancelled because of Rajasthan riots. Gujjars siege of all the entry points to the capital, blocked roads, more than 20 people dead in a week of clashes, which began in Rajasthan but have now spread to all parts of the country.
Whole country is burning over the Gujjars controversy and the reason is they want to be part of Schedule Tribe to get caste benefits. They are already getting the benefits of reservation as part of OBC. Now Meena samaj start protest against the Gujjars, as they don’t want to consider Gujjars as part of ST.
What is this? Where we are heading? On one hand we were shouting against Jade Goody as she made some racial comments on Shilpa Shetty and on the other side we are demonstrating the riots over reservation. And in the whole process the politicians are mum, not a single appreciable step to stop all these communal uproar.
Actually they don’t want to stop all this, as this is what they want to do to win the elections. But, where is Mr. Arjun Singh? Union Minister for Human Resource Development, a biggest supporter of all this quota system rather he is the one who started all this by demanding the quota in all sectors. Sorry for not giving him his credit; he is not Arjun but Shakuni of this 21st Century Mahabharata of reservation.
